TREATMENT OF SCORPION STINGS. TO THE EDITOR OF THE

"INDIAN MEDICAL GAZETTE."

SiK,?I notice a valuable communication by W. E. Saunders,

in connection with Scorpion Stings and their treatment. 1 may mention a more simple and easily obtainable remedy which has been in vogue for the last century, perhaps two for all I know. Boast an onion and apply one of its coverings to the part effected?instant relief is the result. Another.?Apply a paste of wood ashes and water; the effect is the same. Such remedies as tartaric acid and alum are not always at hand, but ammonia liquor, or even ipecac paste, will give iaetant relief if ready for use. I am, Sir,

Esq.,

Yours, &c., &c.,

P. Kelly.
