THE BRITISH NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE In February of this year was published the White Paper on the National Health Service for Great Britain. This is a document of 85 pages. Conditions in India are of course very different from those of Great Britain, and it is feared that the days of the establishment of such a service in this country are probably in the distant future. Nevertheless, we feel that sufficient of our readers will be interested enough in the subject to wish to be familiar with some of the details of the British scheme. The British Medical Journal in February of this year published a summary of the White Paper, and we have thought that many of our readers would be interested in reading this summary ; we have therefore printed the whole of this, summary in our present number.
