Editorial The 24th American Peptide Symposium

I

t is not too early to start planning for your attendance at the 24th APS. The meeting will be held in sunny Orlando, Florida on June 20–25, 2015. Ved Srivastava, GlaxoSmithKline, and Andrei Yudin, University of Toronto promise an exciting meeting. The Hyatt Grand Cypress Resort will provide an outstanding venue for the exciting science being presented. Topics are timely, and include biomarkers, bioactive peptides, synthetic methods, materials, macrocycles, epigenetics, metabolism, peptide medicinal chemistry, peptide therapeutics, formulation and delivery, as well peptide manufacturing. The program allows time for networking and checking out the latest technologies offered by the vendors. The American Peptide Symposium is always one of my favorite meetings. The symposium is large enough to provide a wide range of topics, but not too big to feel unmanageable. Typically, there are no, or only a limited number of concurrent sessions, which means that all the talks are extremely well attended ensuring lively question/ answer sessions. The meeting is always well attended by our

international colleagues from Japan, Europe, Australia, and everywhere in between further enriching the meeting. If you are a young investigator, the APS in an excellent meeting to showcase your work, network and start becoming involved in the American Peptide Society. On the social side of things, the symposium offers a great time to catch up with friends and the opening and closing banquets are always a crowd pleaser. The Journal will bring you more information as it becomes available. Hope to see you all there!
