ACCEPTED MANUSCRIPT A-8-year- old girl was admitted to our hospital complaining of acute back pain, paraparesis,

and urinary incontinence. She had no significant property at her history. At physical

3

examination, bilateral lower extremity paraplegia was noticed, and magnetic resonance (MR)

4

imaging was performed. On spinal MR images, a well circumscribed, epidural localized,

5

10x32mm- mass like lesion compressing the spinal cord anterolaterally was noted at the level

6

between T2 and T4 vertabrae. The mass was heterogeneous isointense to spinal cord with

7

peripheral contrast enhancement on T1-weighted MR images (Fig.1A,B), hypointense on T2-

8

weighted MR images (Fig.1C). The patient was operated, and epidural hematoma was drained

9

surgically. The diagnosis of hematoma was confirmed pathologically. The patient was doing

well after three months from the operation.
