Letter to the Editor Rosette-Forming Glioneuronal Tumor Arising from the Spinal Cord

LETTER: recently published in WORLD NEUROSURGERY, Duan I net aal.paperreviewed the literature for cases of rosette-forming glio1
neuronal tumor originating from the spinal cord. They concluded that prior to their report, 3 such cases have been reported.2-4 They also concluded that rosette-forming glioneuronal tumor was the sole lesion in 2 of these reports.2,4 However, the case reported by Rickert et al.4 is not a case of rosette-forming glioneuronal tumor, but that of rosetted glioneuronal tumor, also known as glioneuronal tumor with neuropil-like islands. It is true that their lesion had a few histologic similarities with rosette-forming glioneuronal tumor, but the final diagnosis they entertained was that of rosetted glioneuronal tumor.
