SUMMARY Response of pancreatic amylase to blood glucose was studied in wethers with re-entrant cannulae of the common bile duct. Combined biliary and pancreatic secretions were collected and assayed for amylase activity by a starchiodine procedure before and after single intravenous injections of glucose or intravenous infusion of glucose for 3 hr out of each 12 for 3 or 7 days. Single injections containing 5 to 8 g of glucose or infusion of .5 ml per min of 8% glucose failed to significantly alter amylase secretion.
