The editorial office of Translational Pediatrics (TP) is pleased to deliver the news that the journal has passed the evaluation of PubMed Central (PMC) inclusion by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) and is now officially accepted and indexed in PubMed/PMC (Figure 1). All TP articles including those previously published will be searchable in PubMed as soon as the indexation process is finished, which is expected to be completed within the month. Consequently, authors publishing in TP will enjoy maximum exposure of their research. Translational Pediatrics (Transl Pediatr, TP, Print ISSN 2224-4336, Online ISSN 2224-4344), is an open access, peer review journal published quarterly since July 2012. Currently, no article process fee or publication fee is required to publish in TP. It aims to provide a forum for the dissemination of original research articles as well as review articles in all areas related to pediatrics. TP publishes articles that describe new findings in the field of translational research in pediatrics, provides current and practical information on diagnosis, prevention and clinical investigations of pediatrics. Specific areas of interest include, but not limited to, multimodality therapy, biomarkers, imaging, biology, pathology, and technical advances related to pediatrics. The current Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Yu-Jia Yang, MD, PhD (Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, China), along with the Deputy Editor-in-Chief Dr. Zhanhe Wu, MD, PhD, FFSc (RCPA) (The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney, Australia) is working creatively in leading the journal. The journal is supported by a distinguished editorial board, which brings together a team of highly experienced specialists in pediatrics treatment and research. Their diverse experience strengthens the journal

in developing different fields of pediatrics. TP has published 15 issues since being launched, with five focused issues concentrating on different pediatrics related topics (Table 1). In 2015, two special columns were launched, “Metabolism of Childhood Cancer Column” and ”Rare Diseases Column”. “Metabolism of Childhood Cancer Column” is chaired by Dr. Dinesh Rakheja from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, launched in January 2015, addresses the significance of metabolic alterations in cancer.
