Photographs of a World War I surgeon These photographs were taken by Charles Roberts when he enlisted with the 18th (East Lancs) Field Ambulance at the outbreak of the war. They have been provided by his great grandson, Lt Col Tim C Nicholson-Roberts RAMC.
