1. Introduction Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs) encompass Crohn’s disease (CD), ulcerative colitis (UC) and IBD-unclassified (IBD-U) according to the classification of Paris [1]. The Paris classification for CD includes classifying age at diagnosis as A1a (0 to
