PERMANGANATE OP POTASSIUM AND CHLOROFORM IN SNAKE BITES. Dr. L. G. Lincecum, of Lawpasas, Tex., reports (Southern Practitioner, Sept. 1889) that lie has treated more than one hundred cases of bites inflicted by poisonous reptiles, and that he lias never seen a case result fatally that was treated by the hypodermic administration of permanganate of potassium, and the adminstration of chloroform locally and by means of inhalation. He gives the permanganate in one and two' grain doses. The Journal of the American Medical Association, September 28, 1889.
