New Year’s Greetings
A happy New Year! I am very much pleased to express my sincere thanks and greetings to all the colleagues and readers of the Journal of Dermatology. The Journal of Dermatology has been successfully established and now recognized as an international and prestigious journal in dermatological fields. The Journal of Dermatology, the official journal of the Japanese Dermatological Association, provides cutting-edge information and valuable manuscripts from throughout the world. The number of submitted papers has reached almost 800 in 2013. The Impact Factor continues to increase to 1.765 in 2012 from 1.493 in 2011 and 1.355 in 2010. On this occasion, I also wish to express my deep appreciation for the continuous support of all the section editors, reviewers and editorial office members. Without their endeavors and devotion, the success of the Journal of Dermatology would never be accomplished. Another important notice is that the Journal of Dermatology, together with our publisher Wiley, have established two awards last year, namely “Awards for

Most Downloaded Articles” and “Awards for Most Cited Articles”. I would like to congratulate four awardees for the most downloaded articles and five for the most cited ones, thanking them for their honorable contribution to the Journal of Dermatology. The editorial office will continue doing our utmost to further add value to our journal. The aim of the Journal of Dermatology is to deliver updated information, original ideas, new hypotheses and convincing facts, not only in the dermatological field, but also to the entire medical scientific world. We welcome your valuable submissions for Review Articles, Original Articles, Concise Communications and Letters to the Editor. Your active participation is greatly appreciated.
