Letter to the Editor Dear Professor Loew, I recently read an article in Acta Neurochirurgica 1-116: 98-106, 1 9 9 2 ] entitled "Neurosurgical Publications in European Journals" which was prepared on behalf of the Research Commitee of EANS by Trojanowski et al. I was sorry to see that Turkey, a member society of EANS since 1972, was not mentioned in the entire article although it was an official review. Enclosed you will find a list of contributions of Turkish neurosurgeons to World literature between the years 1980-1990 obtained from the Science Citation Index. You will see that the majority of articles ap-

peared in journals published in the USA. Almost forty articles have been published during the last two years from my department alone. As you know, "Turkish Neurosurgery" the official journal of Turkish Neurosurgical Society, has been published regularly in English since 1989. This journal that you are familiar with has already found a place in the EMBase. I kindly ask you to publish this information appears in Acta as an addendum. Yours sincerely,
