Special investigation
of the
"
Burdwan Fever."?
Surgeon D. Wilkie, m.b., has been appointed to conduct a special inquiry into the nature and cause of the Burdwan fever.
He is to work under the Provincial Sanitary Commissioner and in association with Drs. Lewis and Cunningham. The appointment has been made for one year. This is a step in the right direction, but, for sundry reasons, we are not very sanguine that it will lead to much.

The Use of Iodic Acid by Hypodermic Injections for the Cure of Tumours.?For some time hypodermic been have used by introducing the fluid into the injections centre of glandular tumours by the hypodermic syringe. of Rheim's Dr. School of Medicine, has drawn Luton, Lately attention to the remarkable success he has had in the dispersion other and tumours of glandular by the use of iodic acid so applied. Goitres have been so treated, the solution he uses is acid and 4-5ths of the water ; a about 1 -5th sharp local reaction soon occurs, but he has seen no inconvenience follow, and the is effected the tumour resolution of finally without suppuration of any eschar.?Medl.
