This edition of Clinics in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery is focused on the medical and surgical management of the diabetic foot and ankle. The incidence of diabetic foot pathology and its related devastating complications from neuropathic foot ulceration to Charcot neuroarthropathy has exponentially increased in the United States and around the world. A variety of complications including critical limb ischemia, diabetic foot infections, osteomyelitis, Charcot neuroarthropathy, and amputations are well covered by the experienced invited authors and guest editor Dr Peter Blume.
