If you have time see their natural winter haunts, and in the very cold weather, run the Thermometer into the anus and observe the Heat; then open the belly by a small hole and pass the thermometer down towards the pelvis and observe the heat; then towards the Liver or Diaph: and observe the heat. open the chist between two ribs, and obser: the heat. you may do all this in a very few minutes. observe the fluidity of the Blood, by comparing it with another, that has been keep'd warm for some days. I have heard of Mr. Cattgall collection of Fossils, and not till I came to London. I suppose he will not sell any? I shall think of your Lymphatic and if I can pick up a preparation or 2 of the Eye I will. I am sorry you did not get my first letter, as we intended going to Barkley with you, but did not chuse to come without an answer as it was possible you might not be at home. I have seen your old master who has given me the use of a very curious Bone I hope he will give it me altogether.
