Intramuscular cysticercosis Sir, The recent report on “intramuscular cysticercosis” is very interesting.[1] In the present report, “solitary cysticercosis of the brachioradialis muscle” is reported. In fact, cysticercosis is a tissue parasitic infestation that can be seen elsewhere. The solitary intramuscular cysticercosis can be seen. The imaging technology has limited role in diagnosis and the final diagnosis is usually by the histopathological examination of the surgical specimen.[2] The history of having raw meat intake might not be available and the problem can also be seen in the veterinarian.[3] The intramuscular cysticercosis should be included in the differential diagnosis of any case presenting with unexplained intramuscular solitary nodule.
