Honorary doctorate for CVO for Wales CHRISTIANNE Glossop (pictured), the Chief Veterinary Officer for Wales, was one of three key figures from the agricultural and veterinary sectors to receive honorary doctorates from Harper Adams University last month. At the university’s graduation ceremony on September 19, Dr Glossop received her honorary doctorate for services to veterinary medicine in Wales. She commented: ‘This is a great honour for me. innovation: research in agricultural sciences. So to become part of the family of Harper Adams University is a very precious thing.’ Honorary doctorates were also presented to Meurig Raymond, president of the National Farmers’ Union, in recognition of his services to agriculture and his contribution to the NFU over many years, and to Mark Aitchison, chief executive of Frontier Agriculture, who was a postgraduate student at the university and who was also recognised for his services to agriculture. doi: 10.1136/vr.g5931
