Abstract This article documents the public availability of raw transcriptome sequence data and 63,020 SNPs for the polar bear (Ursus maritimus). This article documents the public availability of raw transcriptome sequence data and 63 020 SNPs for the polar bear (Ursus maritimus). Table 1 contains information on the focal species, data type and resource developed, as well as access details for the data. The authors responsible for each genomic resource are listed in the final column. Full descriptions of how each resource was developed and tested are uploaded as supporting information with the online version of this

manuscript; both Table 1 and the supporting information are sorted by the generic name of the focal taxon.

Supporting Information Additional Supporting Information may be found in the online version of this article: Appendix S1. Polar bear (Ursus maritimus) transcriptome assembly and SNP discovery

Sequence files: Sequence files can be found on the NCBI Sequence Read Archive under project number PRJNA193538. See Table S2 of supporting information for individual accession numbers Contigs: A FASTA file representing full-length transcriptomic contigs has been deposited at GenBank, and is available under the accession number GAJD00000000. The version described in this paper is the first version, GAJD01000000, with individual accession numbers GAJD01000001–GAJD01036755. An additional annotation file including a putative identity and gene ontology terms for each transcript is available as annotations under DRYAD accession: doi:10.5061/dryad.606j6 SNPs: A VCF file representing SNP data pooled/merged across libraries is available as pb_syscallsnps.vcf.txt under DRYAD accession: doi:10.5061/dryad.606j6
