Gastrointestinal hemorrhage caused by aortoenteric fistula due to aortic aneurysm

A 73-year-old man exhibited an infective thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm and hematochezia 10 years after infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm repair. Contrast enhanced computed tomography of the thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm revealed an aortoenteric fistula between the low visceral aspect of the thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm and the duodenum (Figure 1). He underwent aneurysmectomy, grafting, and suture closure of the fistula, with coverage of pedicled omentum (Figure 2).
