After root canal therapy is satisfactorily completed, the coronal portion of the tooth becomes brittle, increasing the danger of its fracture.’ To avoid this, the construction of a full crown is necessary. It is tempting to prepare the crown of the tooth, make impressions, construct a crown, and cement it into position as quickly as possible.Unless a post has been previously fixed, the dentist will, sooner or later, be confronted with a fractured crown. The following technique describes the fabrication of an individual post and core using the original restoration.
