Erratum to: Cell Stress and Chaperones DOI 10.1007/s12192-017-0770-4 Due to an unfortunate turn of events, an error was introduced in the abstract of the original publication. Where it states ‘lower’ it should have been ‘higher’ and the sentence should therefore have read: ‘Gene expression analysis revealed higher expression in less adapted animals with Madras Red < Magra < Chokla < Marwari expression pattern’. This occurred in the abstract only and does not influence the outcome of the research.
