Every 3 or 4 months he used to pass concretions with the urine, on sounding the bladder a distinct click was felt. There was at first some difficulty in passing the lithotrite, for the opening in the glans being small. The instrument went in easily, when a small incision was made in the glans ; the stone was caught and crushed ; it was a very hard calculus (oxalate of lime); the fragments were darkish brown in color, weighing 4 drams.
