A big thank you to our authors, reviewers and editorial staff. This issue marks the acceptance of the journal into PubMed and its full text into PubMed Central. This decision includes all the previously published papers. The editors would like to take this opportunity to thank all the authors and reviewers for their meticulous efforts in ensuring high-quality contributions. This event will no doubt encourage young clinicians and researchers to submit their latest work to the Journal, which will in turn benefit the global cardiology community, given the open access nature of the journal. As mentioned previously, submissions are encouraged in the different sections of the journal to address topics related to health inequalities worldwide, application of science to clinical practice, as well as pure clinical research aimed at optimizing prevention and treatment of heart disease. Continued evolution of the journal will continue with the inclusion in forthcoming issues of a new section dealing with mechanisms of disease.
