recurs every two or three weeks since the last, four years. Her gait is very characteristic and such 1. as I have never observed in any other case, (a) Supposing her to be standing with both feet side by side, in moving forward, she lifts, say, The right foot crosses over the right foot first. the left and is placed forward; the left one then undulates and lodges behind the right; next the left foot crosses over the right one and is placed forward; the right one makes a short move and put behind the left; next, the right one goes in front, and the left after making a short submove is in its turn passed forward. (b) When one leg goes in front of the other, it crosses over somewhat the other foot, and not unoften it strikes past the other or become entangled with it. Formerly, while walking the limbs struck against each other as in knock-knee, and she used to have thereby sores, but the friction is not so much now. A rough sketch representing the foot-prints is forwarded herewith, so as to give a better understanding of her pro-

She is taking iodide of potassium mixture and shocks of magneto-electricity since some weeks; and under this treatment, she so far improved that she can proceed a further distance without resting, and she can rest standing instead of being obliged to sit down as she had to do formerly. 3. She suffers from dry cough, but her lungs and heart are healthy. 4. There is a partial loss of sensation in the lower limbs as far up as the knees. 5. She looks down to the ground while 2.

6. She jerks and undulates from side to side while walking, and appears as if she would tumble down. 7. Patellar reflex is preset) t. This is an interesting case, representing a peculiar deviation from the normal harmony of the movements of the limbs, due to some nervous disorder. There are disorderly movements in chorea, but those movements have no regularity and are not confined to any particular set of muscles. "Whilst in this case the deviation is permanent for the last four years in a certain set of muscles of lower limbs.
