Sir, The recent report on “paediatric acute retropharyngeal abscesses (RPA)” is very interesting.[1] A study by Nazir et al. concluded that “children with RPA most commonly present with restricted neck movements, fever and cervical lymphadenopathy and rarely with respiratory distress or stridor.[1]” In fact, this finding is similar to reports from other setting. However, focusing on the problem of stridor, the data of the prevalence is different from previous report from Nigeria. Nwaorgu et al. in their study have reported that stridor is a

Sir, “Dog bite injuries of genitalia” is an important problem.[1] Bertozzi and Appignani mentioned for the management of dog bites include irrigation, debridment, antibiotic therapy, consideration of tetanus and rabies immunisation and suture of wounds or surgical reconstruction.[1] The interesting issue is on the rabies immunisation. Dog is still the main cause of rabies worldwide and the post-exposure rabies vaccination should be used in any setting. The concern is on the use of immunoglobulin. The decision to use immunoglobulin should be based on the severity of the
