On his admission a marked external strabismus was noticeable to the most casual observer. I examined his eyes and found that the left was the squinting V. R. eye and that the squint was congenital.

of this squint at once became evident, as a white band was seen stretching forwards from the centre of the disc and crossing the vitreous, gradually diminishing as it was followed forwards and ending a little short of This white band was the capsule of the lens. one of those rare instances of persistent hyaloid artery, and as such is worth recording. The only other case I have seen was when House Surgeon in an Ophthalmic Hospital in England, and that case differed from this in that the white band reached the capsule of the lens posteriorly aud remained of uniform calibre from disc to lens. amination the
