FOREWORD Cardiovascular health is an important issue in the whole world. It is a particularly difficult issue in countries where the resources are limited to measure and monitor cardiovascular health and also to develop strategies to improve health. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Heart Association (AHA) and others have addressed these issues. Dr. Huffman has summarized all the relevant issues and documents in this issue of Current Problems in Cardiology. The Editorial Board and I are grateful to him for this excellent overview of this important health problem.
