Editorial Address by President, ISPCD Greetings from India ! It was a great pleasure to bring JIOH to a level of inclusion in PubMed Central (PMC) recently at end of 2012. I am thankful to Dentmedpub Research, Ms Trivedi H and team for their efforts in Indexing JIOH. A special thank to Sarah Post Calhoun and Wayne Jack Logue for their continuous support and cooperation from PMC. On behalf of International Society of Preventive and Community Dentistry, I welcome Dr Shankargouda Patil as new Editor-in-Chief of JIOH from 2013. Hope in upcoming years he would take journal to new level of scientific excellence. I am thankful to Executive Editor, JIOH; Dr. Nadeem Bijle and team, whose continuous efforts from early 2013 has brought journal to regular bimonthly publication along with new PDF Design.

I appreciate all authors who have selected JIOH for submission of their valuable manuscript since 2009. I further appreciate all the past editors especially Prof Suhas Kulkarni, Prof Yu Lei, Prof Hardy Limeback, Prof Luc Martens, Prof. Saman Warnakulasurya, Prof D Prabu, Dr Santosh Kumar, Dr Namrata Dagli and all others for their support. My sincere thanks to all peer reviewers, who have contributed towards the excellence of journal by providing their valuable time and efforts in evaluation of submitted manuscripts. The future of dental research among developed countries will be possibly dominated by Stem cell research, Nanotechnology, Teledentistry, Behavioural Dentistry etc. However for developing country, Special care dentistry, Cost effective preventive strategies for Dental Caries and Periodontal disease, Tobacco de-addiction etc are need of the hour. Yet there are many unexplored area in dentistry which requires sincere research efforts and I request all upcoming authors of JIOH to contribute unexplored parts in dentistry. Our free online access of published manuscripts has further eased the subscription fee barrier to JIOH readers. I am looking forward for receiving Impact factor and DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for JIOH in upcoming years. The acceptance of future manuscripts will remain dependent on additional contribution of manuscript to existing literature and hence high readership and citation of the same. “Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning.” - Benjamin Franklin
