Welcome remark We welcome you to the 2014 annual meeting of the Scandinavian Physiological Society in Stockholm, August 22-24. We believe that you will find the scientific program exciting, and that the athmosphere of the meeting will be stimulating and fun. We are very proud of the participation from our sister societies in Brazil, China, Italy and Japan and from the Stockholm Physiological Society. Many distinguished colleagues from around the world have agreed to come to present their latest scientific results and to give inspiration on a scientific career in physiology. We thus hope that the meeting will enable both old friends and colleagues to meet and new, young physiologists to start their career. We look forward to seeing you in Stockholm!
