It will be observed that the man died four after the occurrence, probably from vascular and nervous depression consequent on the circulation of blood which had lost certain vital elements ; and that at the time the patient was seen by me no treatment could have been of the slightest avail.

Kfiudiram Bux, aired 20years, was admitted into hospital, on the 7th November. When I saw him ou the 8tli he was insensible, breathing somewhat stertorously, pupils dilated and temperature 101*6?. There was a distinct mark of a rope running obliquely across the neck His pulse was 130, and he above the larynx. He died a tew hours was evidently dying. after.
